Avionics Technician
NextGen Federal Systems is seeking an Avionics Technician to support the United States Air Force with the design, fabrication, and installation of modification packages on Department of Defense aircraft. The role involves performing work for avionics wire harness production, on-aircraft installations, and modifications and repairs to aircraft.

Responsibilities
Support our United States Air Force customer with the design, fabrication, and installation of modification packages on Department of Defense aircraft
Perform work for avionics wire harness production and on-aircraft installations
Perform modifications and repairs to aircraft
Qualification
Required
A minimum of 3 years on-the-job experience in any electro-mechanical disciplines, including electrician, security systems, fire alarm, access control, CCTV, telephony, computer network infrastructure, etc
Aviation avionics training from a technical trade or military technical school is expected
This position requires the ability to obtain and possess a U.S. Government Secret security clearance as a condition of employment
Five (5) years of USAF Aircraft Maintenance experience using AFI 21-101 procedures is required in lieu of FAA certification
Preferred
A Federal Communication Commission (FCC) License issued by the FAA with commensurate General or Military Aviation experience is also desired
Bachelor's degree preferred
FAA Certified Preferred – Airframe & Powerplant (A&P)
KC-135 experience preferred
