Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of complex privacy programs, such as GDPR compliance
Partner with engineering, product management, legal, and security teams to define technical requirements and establish roadmaps for privacy-enhancing features and systems
Participate in and drive design discussions to ensure new and existing systems meet privacy-by-design principles
Identify, track, and mitigate technical risks and dependencies across multiple teams to ensure timely program delivery
Provide clear, concise, and regular communication on program status, risks, and milestones to all stakeholders, including executive leadership
Develop and standardize best practices and processes for privacy program management and engineering execution
Qualification
Required
7+ years of experience in technical program management, particularly in a complex, multi-team environment
Strong understanding of core data privacy regulations (e.g., EU/UK GDPR) and their technical implications for data processing, storage, and retention
Ability to engage with engineers on technical architecture, system design, and data flows to ensure compliance and privacy controls are effectively implemented
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical issues for non-technical stakeholders
Preferred
Privacy-related certifications (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPT, CIPM)
Experience working with privacy challenges specific to machine learning, model training, and derived data outputs
Experience in developing and maintaining comprehensive data maps that track personal data across various systems
Experience with large-scale cloud infrastructure and distributed systems
Prior experience as a software engineer or a technical background in data infrastructure or security
