Production Engineering Manager (Onsite)

The Production Engineering Manager will lead a team providing manufacturing process engineering work instructions and technical guidance for gas-turbine engines at the maintenance repair and overhaul facility, ensuring production delivery schedules are met.

Responsibilities
Read and provide interpretation of technical data as necessary to support production
Lead teams reviewing and investigating process breakdowns; perform root cause and corrective action on parts and processes that are not in control. Also provide timely workscope definitions for engine and/or module repair that are comprehensive, clear, concise, cost effective, and meets customer-defined requirements
Approve complex work control documents used for maintaining engine/module hardware and provide disposition to work control document changes using standard work processes and approved technical references for released work control documents
Provide technical assistance when verification of proper configuration of engine/module hardware is needed
Aid in training mechanics on new tech data that has become available as well as develop and utilize robust standard work and desktop procedures for HMC PE processes
Perform any other related functions or support other MRO production lines as required by management to ensure the success of the enterprise and also represent PE team in high-level business discussions as well as assist in developing solutions for significant production-related problems
Perform managerial duties which includes perform performance reviews multiple times a year, manage overtime and PTO schedules, approve weekly timecards, develop/maintain robust onboarding/training program and host regular staff meetings and team-building activities
Must be willing to work 1st shift (0700-1600), as well as extra time as necessary to ensure completion of assigned tasks; may be called in off-hours to answer job-related questions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college/university with 8+ years of experience OR
Master's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college/university with 5+ years of experience
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited college/university
Experience with enterprise resource planning systems such as SAP
Operational experience in an MRO engine facility
Process or manufacturing experience on gas-turbine engines
Knowledge and experience using precision measuring instruments
Ability to interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint, and Visio
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated commitment to Environmental, Health, and Safety regulations, policies, procedures, and best practices
Ability to work in cross-functional teams on a wide variety of tasks and with limited supervision
Ability to lead a successful team
Ability to write concise, easy-to-understand technical work instructions
