Administrative Intern Acute Care Operations - Talent Acquisition - FT - day

Responsibilities

The Intern will support departmental operations through administrative, analytical, and project-based task
This internship provides hands-on experience in a healthcare setting, offering exposure to hospital workflows, patient services, and interdepartmental collaboration
Develop process to optimize staffing and scheduling practices throughout multiple nursing departments
Optimize utilization of the workforce management system (Shift Wizard) to allow efficient/timely decision making and accurate reporting
Collaborate with Command Center Manager, RN House Supervisors, Department Directors/Managers/Charge Nurses, and other leaders to predict daily staffing needs
Recommend a primary point of contact for scheduling inquiries, shift changes, and staffing adjustments
Monitor and analyze staffing levels to ensure adherence to productivity guidelines
Uphold patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
Participate in meetings and contribute to ongoing initiatives
Contribute to department-specific projects and initiatives
Conduct research, analyze data, and assist in developing reports or presentations
Participate in department meetings and contribute to ongoing initiatives
Present a final project or summary of contributions at the end of the internship
Utilize workforce management systems to track staffing metrics and generate reports
Other duties as assigned

Required

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program at an accredited college or university in related field
Completion of at least junior-level coursework (typically 90 credit hours or equivalent)
Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills

Preferred

Coursework or experience in Business, Healthcare, Finance, Data Analytics or a related field
