Survivability Integration Engineer

Responsibilities

Familiarity with various antennas and apertures relevant to DoD vehicles
Work with GA-ASI Mission Systems team to develop RCS requirements for antennas and apertures within GA-ASI platforms
Utilize industry standard tools for the prediction of RF properties integration of various antennas and apertures into GA-ASI designs. Suggest design changes based on these predictions to meet program objectives
Participate in the design and fabrication of measurement and test articles (“fixtures”, “pole models”) for validation of survivable designs
Serve as Survivability technical representative for both customer and vendor engagements. Ensure designs and integration schemes meet program requirements
Provide program planning and technical leadership to IRAD and CRAD projects targeting development and implementation of Survivability technologies
Ensure compliance, reporting, and safety standards are maintained. Work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures
Observe all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company

Required

Typically requires a bachelors degree, masters degree or PhD in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution and progressive engineering experience as follows; six or more years of experience with a bachelors degree, four or more years of experience with a masters degree, or two or more years with a PhD. May substitute equivalent engineering experience in lieu of education
Experience with fundamental electromagnetic principles
Experience in developing and executing design of experiments
Strong written and oral communications skills
Strong team player with leadership potential qualities
Demonstrated technical expertise and application of engineering principles, concepts, theory, and practice in a relevant industry and product
Must possess the ability to contribute to the development of new concepts and principles

Preferred

Experience with Six Sigma techniques
Degree in Electromagnetics or Physics preferred
Experience developing and fabricating composite structures with an emphasis on low observable materials and structures
Demonstrated experience integrating LO compatible systems into aircraft platforms
