Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and develop the CM Incident & Technology Management team
Oversee the development, maintenance, and execution of incident response and crisis management processes and procedures
Coordinate and lead response management activities, sometimes out of regular working hours and on weekends
Partner routinely with other CM teams to support Ally preparedness activities—planning, training, and exercises
Oversee day-to-day CM threat monitoring activities to facilitate timely identification and notification of, and response to, incidents or crises
Coordinate with internal and external team members to identify and escalate potential risks and implement and track mitigation measures to support Ally’s preparedness
Manage the effective use of threat and asset monitoring, emergency notification, and planning/response management tools
Lead enterprise-wide emergency notification testing and reporting
Collaborate with technology partners to optimize technology solutions that support crisis management efforts
Prepare and present situation reports and assessments to senior management and other collaborators
Lead or support development of metrics and periodic reporting to illustrate and summarize incidents and crisis management related operations

Required

Bachelor's degree in Crisis/Emergency/Disaster Management strongly preferred
5+ years of experience in operational risk management, crisis management, business continuity, emergency management, physical security, and/or enterprise resilience required
Background managing or using tools common to crisis or incident management, such as incident management platforms, monitoring and tracking tools, and emergency notification systems required
Experience coordinating or participating in the response to a major, unplanned disrupted event that required activation of incident or crisis management teams and plans required
Strong analytical skills with experience in incident response, situation reporting, and risk assessment
Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and ability to interact with others—including senior leadership and executives—in a professional manner
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

Experience in risk management or crisis management within financial services, strongly preferred
People management experience (managing individuals or a team) within crisis management or a related field strongly preferred
