Family Dollar is a retail company focused on providing value to its customers. The Allocator is responsible for managing the deployment of fashion merchandise to stores, ensuring optimal inventory levels to maximize sales and profitability through effective inventory management strategies.

Responsibilities

Each Allocator is responsible for the fashion inventory deployment strategy and results for around 700 – 1,000 skus with sales totaling $110 - 150 million annually

Through collaborative efforts with cross functional teams, Allocators provide a detailed understanding of allocation execution strategy as well as provide a guide to understand merchant’s assortment vision

Monitor fashion inventory that is held in the DCs to timely allocation of seasonal merchandise to meet all sales and turn goals

Owners of assigning optimal volume grades to the stores

For each category post-season, collaborate closely with merchandise partners to provide post season analylitics

Work directly with the New Store Team and merchants to determine the seasonal assortment set for new stores for their assigned categories

Deliver results on assigned cross-functional projects with significant company impact

Respresent allocations in cross functional weekly meetings

Required

Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university or Associates Degree with additional experience / training preferred

One(1) or more years of retail store experience and/or merchandise allocation experience desirable

Ability to prioritize and organize workload, possess strong problem solving skills, capable of meeting stringent deadlines, and possess effective communication skills

Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite

Ability to develop, manipulate, format and share spreadsheets for the purpose of analysis

Preferred

SQL, Retek, and Microstrategy experience preferred
