Materials Process Engineer Intern (Spring 2025)
Hitachi Energy is a global technology leader in electrification, and they are seeking a Materials Process Engineer Intern for the Spring 2025 semester. The role involves participating in projects aimed at improving processes and material flow, as well as supporting kaizen events to enhance cost savings and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities
Job assignments are primarily designed to give students the opportunity to work on projects
Participate and supporting kaizen events & other improvement projects
Projects that will impact & reduce cost savings, scrap, rework and first past yield performance
Process and Material Flow projects to enhance standardized work, material presentation and replenishment
Work area layout improvements and one-piece flow improvements
Material inventory projects
Other projects as assigned

Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program
Pursuing a degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering
Currently enrolled in an accredited university program in the US
Able to complete the 12 week internship program on-site in Jefferson City, Mo starting May 18th, 2026 completing 40 hours each week
Must be permanently authorized to work in the United States
