Atrium is seeking an Analytical Development Research Associate for Vertex Pharmaceuticals. The role involves performing flow cytometry testing and supporting process development and characterization for cell therapy programs, while maintaining excellent documentation and managing inventory for samples and reagents.

Responsibilities

Flexible to work in both locations of Vertex buildings within 1.5-mile distance when required
Flexible to work with different schedules when required and different teams when needed
Carry out routine manual or automated flow cytometry testing for stem cells related samples
Actively involve in routine testing to support process development and characterization and flow related release assays for identity, potency and impurities for Vertex preclinical, clinical and next generation cell therapy programs
Be a strong team player contributing to group priorities and deliverables with great communication skills
Maintain excellent written documentation of completed experiment (ELN, LIMS) and maintain knowledge share systems (MS-Teams and share points)
Ability to follow and understand SOPs and review protocols or reports as needed
Manage and track inventory for sample and reagents as needed for several projects
Participate in a data management activity to ensure timely completion of deliverables
Performs other duties as assigned

Required

BS or MS in Cell & Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline with BS 1-2 years experience or MS with 0 years experience
Relevant Industry experience in biologics or cell and gene therapy space
Good experience with flow cytometry technique and other cellular based assays
Excellent pipetting skills
Possess standard lab safety regulations and work in GLP like laboratory environment
Excellent communication skills and effectively coordinates work across different teams
Industry experience in cell and gene therapy space
Experience with assay automation and assay high throughput techniques
Experience with sample management and ELN/LIMS systems
Experience working with pluripotent/hematopoietic stem cells
