Responsibilities
Provide technical support for hot rolling operations, including reheat furnaces, piercer, rolling mill, sizer, and straightener
Maintain and improve standard operating procedures
Train operators and reduce variation in key process indicators
Lead Continuous Improvement Teams
Benchmark existing technologies and evaluate new processes and materials
Identify and present Capital Expenditure projects; lead CapEx initiatives
Coordinate project activities with Vallourec R&D centers, external research organizations, and universities
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or metallurgical engineering/Material Science (or equivalent)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including statistical techniques
Effective oral and written communication skills across all organizational levels
Project management experience for process improvement and/or product development
Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
Demonstrated leadership potential and team-building skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)
Preferred
1–3 years of steel industry experience preferred
