Delta Utilities is a leading natural gas utility focused on safe, dependable service to customers. They are seeking a Financial Reporting Analyst to prepare and analyze financial reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Responsibilities

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages for lenders and private equity sponsor in accordance with GAAP, FERC, and other applicable regulations

Ensure timely and accurate filings of financial reports with appropriate stakeholders

Maintain compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements

Assist with the implementation of new accounting standards and process improvements

Monitor changes in financial regulations and standards to ensure ongoing compliance

Maintain and update financial reporting systems and tools (e.g. Oracle, SAP, Sage)

Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations to management

Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation in financial reporting

Assist in the preparation of management reports and presentations

Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial reporting standards

Work closely with finance, treasury, regulatory, and other departments to ensure alignment in financial reporting

Support special projects, including mergers, acquisitions, and system implementations

Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and analysis

Required

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field

At least three(3) years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a regulated utility or energy industry, public accounting, or a related role for Analyst Level

At least five(5) years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a regulated utility or energy industry, public accounting, or a related role for Analyst Senior Level

At least seven(7) years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a regulated utility or energy industry, public accounting, or a related role for Analyst Senior Lead Level

Strong understanding of technical accounting and financial reporting

Preparation and analysis of financial reports in compliance with regulatory requirements and company policy

Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages for lenders and private equity sponsor in accordance with GAAP, FERC, and other applicable regulations

Timely and accurate filings of financial reports with appropriate stakeholders
