Sr. Director, Forecasting & Strategic Analytics

The Senior Director, Forecasting and Strategic Analytics will build and oversee the forecasting capability for the U.S. Rare Tumor business, ensuring robust forecasting processes and collaborating with cross-functional teams to inform commercial decisions.

Responsibilities

Establish and oversee the commercial forecasting process within the Rare Tumor business
Create, update, and maintain forecast models based on appropriate primary and secondary data and market understanding and transition external vendor forecast models and support to fully internal SpringWorks supported forecasting capability
Manage U.S. forecasts for Desmoid Tumor, NF1-PN, and Tenosynovial Giant Cell Tumor therapeutic areas
Provide transparency into key drivers, sensitivities, risks & opportunities to ensure Organization remains agile and data-driven in its decision making
Drive the development, maintenance, harmonization, and continuous improvement of the various forecasting models used to produce commercial revenue projections for all forecast cycles, S&OP processes, and all associated analytics and supporting presentation materials for review with all levels of brand and SpringWorks leadership
Understand brand and market dynamics to facilitate optimal decision making through cross functional collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Finance, and Production Planning
Identify and use a comprehensive set of data/information – analogs, Rx/claims data, medical data (epidemiology, medical publications, etc.) – to build the most robust forecast assumptions; work collaboratively across Commercial and Medical function to gain alignment on assumptions
Develop scenarios to assess the impact of different market events and team executions; Define opportunities and risks associated with the forecast and provide proactive analysis of drivers to determine key inflection points for the business forecast and refine forecasts on an ongoing basis leveraging most recent data and market events; provide guidance on future performance
Partners with Finance and Supply Chain and other Operations Partners to inform Long-Range Planning and the Sales & Operations Planning process and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) impacting the commercial forecast
Explain deviations in performance from forecast and suggest strategic levers to address these deviations and own external vendor relationships, collaborate with internal partners, consulting partners and other external parties as required
Identify ways to improve forecast model to align with dynamic markets and improve quality of assumptions
Develop and maintain documentation of forecast assumptions and changes across cycles, data sources, and forecast cycle operations include presentation template
Effectively manage multiple projects with varying levels of engagement, scope, and specifications
Coach and mentor new talent within the forecasting team
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree preferred
10-12 years' experience in forecasting and analytics, preferably all in Pharma or healthcare related field
5+ years in people leadership role
Expertise in forecast methodologies
Expertise in MS Office, specifically Excel
Familiarity with Pharma data sources and suppliers
Ability to work in matrixed team
Ability to influence without authority
Confidence in presenting to senior management
Strong interpersonal communication skills to collaborate with colleagues, stakeholders, and vendors effectively and clearly in a remote hybrid work environment
Ability to travel occasionally including overnight stay driven by business need

Preferred

Oncology and/or rare disease experience preferred
