Continuous Improvement - Intern
Chromalloy is a global engineering & solutions company that provides aftermarket parts and repairs for aircraft engines and gas turbines. The Continuous Improvement Intern will support lean transformation initiatives by applying methodologies such as Six Sigma and Kaizen to enhance manufacturing processes and efficiency.

Responsibilities
Assist with 5S, Kaizen events, standard work, and waste reduction (DOWNTIME)
Perform time studies, map value streams (VSM), and analyze performance metrics
Support improvement projects from concept to completion, using methods like PDCA/Scientific Method
Engage with shop floor operators, engineers, and leadership to drive change and gather feedback
Create/update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and visual aids
Research best practices, suggest automation, and potentially use 3D printing (Additive Manufacturing) for fixtures
Champion safety and ergonomics in all improvement initiatives
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Aerospace) or related field
Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, VSM, 5S, Root Cause Analysis
Strong MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), data analysis, CAD/3D printing a plus
Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
