Responsibilities
Support installation, commissioning, decommissioning, and operations for Form’s battery module prototypes
Perform hands-on troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical systems to identify and resolve root causes
Conduct wiring and assembly of industrial control, power, and data acquisition circuitry
Execute test plans to characterize the performance and functionality of battery systems under the direction of engineers
Support Form’s first responder program to minimize energized downtime
Support the execution of performance testing, attain data, and communicate findings to Engineering to improve performance
Maintain and keep our cell and module lab spaces clean at all times
Qualification
Required
3+ years of hands-on experience as a technician working with high-powered equipment; experience with battery or solar systems is a plus
Proficient in troubleshooting complex electrical issues in high-voltage systems and able to read electrical schematics and single-line diagrams
Familiarity with industrial communication protocols, including CAN Bus and Modbus, for system-level debugging
Highly safety-conscious with training in high-voltage risk assessment, safety protocols, and experience working around heavy construction equipment
Comfortable with frequent and long-term wear of heavy PPE (steel-toed boots, face shields, chemical suits, etc.) as required
An attention to the details and proactive mindset
Physically able to frequently lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
