They are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining CNC programs for high-precision components in aerospace and defense applications.

Responsibilities

Program Development: Create and optimize CNC programs for 3 & 5-axis machines using Siemens NX and other software’s to produce complex aerospace & defense components and tooling

Technical Drawings: Interpret and analyze technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to determine machining operations and sequences

Tool Selection: Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for each job, verifying machine capabilities align with part specifications

Tooling & Fixtures: Select appropriate tooling for each job and design/create custom fixtures when necessary

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of CNC programs, machine setups, modifications, and test results

Setup and Testing: Generate documentation to set up CNC machines, perform test runs, and make necessary adjustments to ensure parts meet specified quality and tolerance standards

Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, machinists, and quality control teams to resolve technical issues and improve machining processes

Quality Control: Work with quality engineers and inspectors to conduct checks on finished products using precision measuring tools ensuring compliance with part specifications

Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest advancements in CNC programming and machining technologies to improve production efficiency and quality

Compliance: Ensure all machining operations comply with environmental & safety regulations, industry standards, and best practices

Required

Strong proficiency in Siemens NX

Solid understanding of machining processes, tooling, materials, and industry quality standards

Experience with designing tooling/fixtures

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in CNC programming with Siemens NX and 5-axis machining utilizing Siemens, Fanuc, Hurco, and/or Mazak controls

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret engineering drawings, general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume

Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

Preferred

Experience in the aerospace, defense, or medical industries

An Associate's degree in CNC programming, machine tool technology, or related field

Familiarity with other CAD/CAM software

CMM programming experience using PC-DMIS software
