Responsibilities

Lead and manage the team that build data platforms for large-scale evaluation of the Waymo Driver software, streamlining eval data set curation, sampling & slicing, and enabling data-driven decision making
Define long-term strategy, develop roadmaps, and guide the team to execute projects from ambiguous requirements to high-impact deliverables
Collaborate with Data Science and Quantitative Analytics teams in understanding their data needs & build infra solutions that solve their problems

Required

Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
5+ years of experience in the field of software engineering
Hands-on experience with distributed systems that ingest, store, transform, and output data at scale
Proficiency in C++ or Python in a production environment
Solid technical leadership in defining vision, strategy and priorities
Strong technical communication and collaboration skills

Preferred

2+ years of experience in team management
Experience with A/B experiment infrastructure
Exposure to ad-hoc data analysis with SQL
Experience working in the AV industry
