Inventory Control Specialist

The Inventory Control Specialist will oversee inventory governance, manage cycle count programs, and ensure compliance with inventory control standards while collaborating with various teams to achieve operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
Lead and deliver key performance indicators (KPIs) for the Inventory Control department
Oversee inventory accuracy across multiple warehouse locations by monitoring, analyzing, and reconciling inventory levels
Ensure compliance with inventory control governance and standard operating procedures across all sites
Partner with inventory teams to uphold high standards of accuracy and drive daily operational efficiency
Conduct routine cycle counts and physical inventory audits; promptly investigate and resolve discrepancies
Provide strategic leadership to meet departmental goals, enhance team performance, and implement continuous improvement initiatives aligned with world-class supply chain practices
Facilitate weekly and monthly KPI reviews with site Inventory Control teams and leadership to align actions and drive measurable results
Champion process improvement efforts focused on optimizing inventory management and achieving best-in-class performance
Support budgeting and strategic planning by delivering accurate inventory data and actionable insights
Develop and enhance warehouse operational processes, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, storage, and material handling
Lead execution of the annual physical inventory process in accordance with ECS standards and audit requirements
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree required
Minimum 4 years of experience in Inventory Control; multi-site preferred
Ability to create and achieve inventory KPIs for the operations and team
Advanced experience in the use of the Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Power user of inventory management systems
Strong analytical skills with basic understanding of statistics and supply chain processes
Travel is required (30%)
