Solomon Page is seeking a hands-on Controller to help build and scale the accounting function for a growing Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) company. This role involves leading accounting operations, audit leadership, and designing scalable processes to support growth in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with accuracy and speed

Prepare and review GAAP-compliant financial statements and supporting schedules

Establish practical accounting policies and internal controls that scale with the business

Own all inventory accounting, including standard costing, variances, reserves, and obsolescence

Partner closely with operations and supply chain to ensure accurate inventory tracking across manufacturers, co-packers, and warehouses

Drive visibility into product costs, gross margins, and SKU-level profitability

Serve as the primary lead for external audits and manage auditor relationships end-to-end

Own audit readiness, documentation, and technical accounting positions

Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and support tax and regulatory requirements

Design and implement accounting processes, systems, and controls from scratch or through rapid growth

Build, mentor, and scale a lean accounting team as the company grows

Lead ERP or accounting system implementations and process automation initiatives

Work closely with FP&A, operations, supply chain, and leadership to support decision-making

Provide insights on pricing, margin improvement, inventory optimization, and growth initiatives

Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
