Responsibilities
Positioning patients for CT exam
Explaining the procedure and obtaining patient consent
Starts IV's and injecting contrast and dispensing oral contrast if needed
Evaluates CT images for technical quality
Prepares images for transmission to PACS, so radiologist can interpret the scans
Assist Radiologist with questions they may have regarding MIPS, 3D images, and reconstructions
Prepares CT orders, EMR notes, and checks lab values
Order and charge entry for procedures
Loading and operating power injectors for IV contrast media administration
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Associates degree in Applied Science or similar field required
Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Preferred
Previous experience as a CT Tech preferred
