Data Platform Manager

In this role, you will supervise the design, development, and maintenance of the enterprise data warehouse and BI data systems, focusing on driving innovation and ensuring data quality.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute a comprehensive data strategy aligned with business goals and priorities
Identify opportunities to enhance data collection, storage, and usage to drive business value
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their evolving needs and challenges
Lead a team of data engineers, analysts, and application DBAs, providing technical guidance, coaching, and support. Maintain 24/7 support rotation schedule
Set clear objectives and performance expectations. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning
Collaborate with other IT units to integrate data systems and ensure data consistency and compatibility
Manage projects related to data engineering and business intelligence initiatives. Define project scope, goals, and deliverables
Monitor progress, manage resources, and mitigate risks to ensure successful project completion

Required

Bachelor's degree in mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
8+ years of experience in data engineering, business intelligence, or data analytics
3+ years of experience supervising technical staff
5+ years of programming experience in SQL, Python or DBT specializing in ETL/ELT
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Understanding of relational databases, data integration, data warehousing, and data mart design
