Plant Engineer

As the Plant Engineer, you will provide engineering oversight for facility operations, ensuring compliance with safety and engineering standards while improving plant process reliability and performance.

Environmental Services

Responsibilities

Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times
Utilizes knowledge / experience and partners with production and maintenance to improve plant process reliability and develop a preventative and predictive maintenance strategy
Maintains and updates site drawings as changes to the site are implemented
Coordinates with site management regarding planning and production needs
Develops and implements energy cost reduction and efficiency initiatives; partners with plant management or other operational departments to improve overall facility performance
Prepares engineering designs and cost estimations of plant modifications or upgrades
Supplies technical input on safety issues and standards
Supports troubleshooting for operational processes and identified system issues
Serves as project manager for capital projects and complex maintenance initiatives that require contractors and supports the development of contractor requirements, process studies and improvement options
Prepares reports documenting facility activities that align with and satisfy regulatory requirements
Serves as a subject matter expert in the preparation of permit applications and / or modifications and responds appropriately as needed
Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization

Required

Bachelor's degree in engineering (required)
3+ years of engineering experience within an industrial plant operations environment (required)
Previous supervisory experience (required)
Thorough knowledge and understanding of all Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations pertaining to the environmental services industry and engineering standards
Proficiency in manufacturing processes with strong problem-solving and project management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and develop quality reporting
Strong ability to influence and collaborate with teams in and outside of the engineering department
Proactive orientation with a focus on continuous improvement and organization
Ability to manage complex and aggressive project schedules and deliver results on time and to specification
Growth orientation with a willingness and desire to invest in individual and organizational development and improvement
Regular and predictable attendance to perform the functions and requirements of this role
