Power Platform & AI Enterprise Solutions Specialist

The N.C. Department of Information Technology is dedicated to preserving and protecting the state’s pension and healthcare plans. They are seeking an Enterprise Solutions Specialist to analyze architectural components and enhance capabilities of enterprise-wide systems while providing implementation planning and support for business divisions.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain robust Power Platform solutions (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse) to support DST Business Divisions
Conduct architectural analysis across all Enterprise subsystems supported by Web and financial services group to determine modernization requirements and design/develop improvements to the applications
Manage and implement Enterprise Application Services (SharePoint Online, Teams and custom Applications) based on the developmental needs across all Business Divisions
Understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) concepts, AI-driven workflows and architecture
Familiarity with emerging AI technologies including LLMs, agentic development and RAG architecture
Provide technical expertise to identify and direct issue resolution with external application platforms (Digital Commons (AWS), Azure Cloud)
Serve as a technical mentor to junior and mid-level developers, fostering best practices in M365 Applications development and guiding them through troubleshooting and optimization techniques
Develop and document processes with the team to facilitate ongoing support of existing systems

Required

Bachelor's degree in computer science or an IT related field or related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution and four years of progressive experience in business application consulting or development
Associate degree in computer science or an IT related field or related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution and five years of progressive experience in business application consulting or development
High School or General Education Development (GED) diploma and eight years of experience in business application consulting or development
An equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred

Experience in managing and implementing Microsoft Power Platform or emerging web technology
Experience in designing enterprise-wide systems development and/or systems integration projects
Experience in using Microsoft and/or cloud computing technologies
