New Grad, Entry LevelTroon is seeking a skilled and dedicated Golf Course Mechanic to join their turf maintenance team at Glenview Golf Course. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for the daily maintenance, repair, and sharpening of a wide range of turf equipment to ensure high-quality cuts across the greens, tees, and fairways.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the daily maintenance, repair, and sharpening of turf equipment, including greens mowers, fairway mowers, rough mowers, tractors, and utility vehicles
Emphasis on reel maintenance and precision sharpening to ensure consistent, high-quality cuts
Perform routine preventative maintenance and diagnose mechanical and hydraulic issues
Maintain accurate service records while supporting daily course setup
Qualification
Required
Proven experience with reel grinding (both spin and relief grinding)
Bedknife sharpening
Adjusting mowers for optimal height-of-cut and quality-of-cut standards
Performing routine preventative maintenance
Diagnosing mechanical and hydraulic issues
Maintaining accurate service records
Reliability
Attention to detail
Commitment to delivering pristine playing conditions through exceptional equipment performance
Preferred
Prior experience in golf course maintenance
Prior experience in small engine repair
Ability to work early mornings
Ability to work weekends
Ability to work in varying weather conditions
