Responsibilities
Lead and manage the accurate and timely preparation and review of the consolidated quarterly and annual income tax provision, including all related financial statement disclosures for SEC reporting
Oversee federal and state income tax compliance, including the preparation and timely filing of all income tax returns
Provide comprehensive tax support for M&A activities, including due diligence, structuring, and the determination of tax provisions for opening balance sheets
Develop and maintain robust cash tax forecasting models and monitor cash tax payments to optimize the company’s liquidity and tax planning
Manage all federal and state income tax audits, including developing audit strategies, coordinating with external advisors, and leading discussions with taxing authorities
Ensure compliance with all required business license and registration requirements across all relevant jurisdictions
Recommend and implement tax policies, procedures, and strategies to ensure compliance and maximize tax efficiency
Lead, mentor, and develop the internal tax team, and effectively manage relationships with external tax advisors and auditors
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
10-15 years of progressive experience in corporate income tax, with significant experience in a publicly traded company environment or public accounting
Deep expertise in ASC 740 and SEC reporting requirements
Extensive experience with federal and state income tax compliance and managing complex audits
Proven track record in providing tax support for M&A transactions
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
Preferred
CPA certification is strongly preferred
Master's degree in Taxation (MST)
