Core Assembly Operator 1st shift
Chromalloy is a global engineering & solutions company that provides aftermarket parts, repairs, and solutions for aircraft engines and gas turbines. The Core Assembly Operator will be responsible for core finishing operations, core preparation for wax injection, and quality visual inspections of products.

All core finishing operations (Die Line, Tie Bar, and Flash Removal, Repairs)
Core Prep operations for Wax Injection
Level III – Quality Visual Inspection of product for defects
Qualification
Required

Detailed Oriented
Complete understanding of Core Finishing processes (lvl I, II and III)
High school education or equivalent life experience and three to six months related experience or training
Ability to learn and to operate all injection machines and perform all functions of wax injection operation to include placement of patterns in wax setters or fixtures after injection
Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules and work instructions and procedure manuals
Ability to record information on a daily basis
Ability to speak and listen effectively to follow instructions in English
Ability to write and speak complete sentences and understand verbal and written instructions in English
Ability to add and subtract two- and three-digit numbers and to perform simple multiplication and division
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms
The employee must regularly lift, push, pull and/or move up to 25 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, ability to distinguish between colors, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus to recognize defects in patterns
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles
