Responsibilities

Conducts in-depth research on existing markets, competitors, trends and manufacturing techniques. Analyze findings and produce concise, detailed and articulate briefs to help guide initial design concepts

Develop innovative product concepts aligned with Ledge's outdoor lifestyle brand as well as help drive new innovation. Drive new product ideas from conceptualization through production, ensuring high-end quality and aesthetic appeal

Create highly accurate CAD models for visualization, prototyping, and production purposes. Generate marketing collateral and manufacturing-ready files using software such as Solidworks and Rhino3D. Proficiency in photorealistic rendering software like Keyshot and VRay is essential

Demonstrate strong creativity and a genuine passion for stylish furniture and outdoor living spaces. Thrive in a fast-paced environment that requires both methodical precision and creative conceptualization. Adapt seamlessly to changes in workflow and pivot between projects with ease

Showcase highly skilled communicative concept sketching abilities to convey design ideas effectively. Possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and visual, to articulate concepts persuasively to internal teams and stakeholders

Interpret mechanical documents and drawings with precision, demonstrating a deep understanding of general construction, mechanical principles, and fastening methods. Exhibit strong problem-solving skills and a quick learning ability to improvise and adapt to evolving project requirements

Maintain and improve the quality of existing product lines by consistently delivering designs that align with Ledge's aesthetic and functional standards. Uphold a methodical approach with a keen attention to detail, ensuring designs meet safety requirements and aesthetic principles while striving for a safe and tidy work environment

Proficient in tools and general maintenance and upkeep of design and shop equipment. Including desktop and large format 3D printers. Maintains consumables inventory and ensures adequate stock

Willingness to take on other product development responsibilities as required
