Professional Development and Transfer Coordinator - College of Engineering, Computer Science, and Construction Management (ECC)
Chico State Enterprises is dedicated to supporting Hispanic Low Income and first-generation students in STEM fields. The Professional Development and Transfer Coordinator will coordinate mentoring, professional development, and transfer activities, while providing guidance and support to students within the College of Engineering, Computer Science, and Construction Management.

Responsibilities
Coordination of the STEMCat Mentoring Program, including recruiting, hiring, training, and supervising upper-division mentors who serve as mentors to the undergraduate mentees, as well as mentee recruitment
Provides individualized and intensive guidance and motivational support to CSC2+ students; orients incoming students; offers academic advising; coordinates tutorials; assists with study skills development beyond tutoring; provides personal counseling; and supports career counseling initiatives
Fostering student engagement in project activities; developing systems to document student participation; collecting and analyzing data for outcome reporting; identifying research and summer internship opportunities for program participants; and conducting outreach activities at Butte Community College
Qualification
Required
Graduation from a four-year college or university in engineering, computer science, construction management, natural sciences, another STEM field, behavioral sciences, public or business administration, or a related discipline with relevant field experience
Candidates must demonstrate the ability to plan, schedule, and coordinate activities, and to compile and prepare written reports
Satisfactory completion of a background check (including a criminal records check) is required for employment
Candidate must be a California resident
Preferred
Professional experience in one of the student services program areas or in a related field
Experience working in a diverse environment
Prior experience in advising (personal, career, and academic counseling) and recruiting
