Responsibilities
Develop and maintain various data models, including but not limited to rate models, budget models, debt models, and revenue/expenditure models. Also, help coordinate rate model analyses by outside consultants
Work on debt-related tasks for the Office of Financial Management (bonds, bank loans, commercial paper, conduit financings, etc.)
Collaborate with financial advisors, bond counsel, Clerk’s office, and rating agencies
Research various topics, provide cost/benefit analyses, develop recommendations/proposals, and write memos to administration &/or BCC
Support other routine analytical-based projects and tasks such as fiscal neutrality reviews, reviews of Community Development District (CDD) applications, economic analysis, monthly revenue reports, etc
Collaborate with the Florida Department of Revenue, Elected Official offices, the Office of the County Attorney, and/or other government agencies
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Public Administration, Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or other related field, and 6+ years of progressively responsible professional experience
OR: Master's degree in a related field and 5+ years of progressively responsible professional experience
OR: 10+ years of related professional experience or certifications may substitute for the required education. (Please note: CPA license may substitute for 1 year of the required experience.)
Preferred
Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Public Administration, or a related field
Prior government experience
Florida CPA license
