Responsibilities

Ensure safe work practices and work with EHS to train and elevate a culture of safety within the team

Monitor work areas and employees’ performance for adherence to SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost)

Serve as an escalation point for all employees working 2nd shift for any production/warehouse or behavioral issues that may arise during the shift

Ensure staff training is provided for effective performance. Address issues with staff and keep documentation for coaching. Adhere to Company policies, procedures, and applicable budget requirements. Conduct timely employee performance reviews

Communicate effectively to the team regarding goals and expectations as well as with other supervisors, engineers, and management to ensure operations is one cohesive unit

Ensure expected output of quality products. Assist in investigating and evaluating quality and safety issues and determining appropriate actions for resolution

Promote the use of Lean / Sigma Manufacturing concepts including SPC, Kanban materials management and 5s

Uses PDCA, TDM (Tiered Daily Management), schedule adherence, Implement and monitor continuous improvement activities including waste and cost reduction, equipment and tool efficiencies and human resource planning

Provide daily work direction to team members and act as a first point of contact regarding any issues that may arise on shift

Required

5 or more years' experience in a complex manufacturing environment

Organizational, planning and communication skills and the ability to adapt to workforce, work environment and customer needs
