Field Service Engineer - Northeast/New England Region
EOLA, a Critical Power Company, is seeking a highly skilled UPS Field Engineer to provide commissioning, maintenance, and emergency support for power electronics at customer sites in the Northeast/New England region. The role involves conducting design reviews, performing preventive maintenance, and coordinating with technical support to resolve issues.

Responsibilities
Conducts commissioning-focused design reviews, prepares test procedures and reports, and oversees on-site testing
Performs preventive maintenance, emergency response, equipment start-up, and field modifications
Coordinates with technical support to resolve maintenance or operational issues
Assists in developing Methods of Procedures (MOPs)
Reports to a supervisor for any unusual issues or developments
Trains periodically at company headquarters on testing equipment and rebuilding systems
Completes Field Service Reports promptly and provides proactive recommendations to clients
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 3-5 years' experience. Preferred 10+ years of relevant experience
Skilled in troubleshooting equipment such as UPS, batteries, PDUs, STSs, etc
Proficient with hand tools and test equipment for maintenance and repairs
Strong verbal, written communication, and customer service skills
Ability to work independently with resourcefulness and initiative
Knowledge of equipment manufacturers' specifications
Physically capable of bending and lifting up to 100 lbs as required
Willingness to work nights, weekends, and be on-call when needed
Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software
OEM factory training or experience with brands such as Emerson/Liebert/Vertiv, APC/MGE/Schneider, or Eaton/Powerware/PDI is required
Must have a clean driving record
Occasional national travel may be required for emergencies
Preferred
Prior experience with third-party UPS service providers is a plus
A technical degree (e.g., DeVry, Lincoln Tech) is a plus
Military veterans with experience in Electrical/Mechanical systems are highly valued (Navy EMN, ETN, MMNs, Army Power Generation, Air Force Power Production, Coast Guard, etc.)
Candidate is preferred to live in Northeast/New England area - Ideally Massachusetts, Rhode Island, or New Hampshire
