Responsibilities

Drive the delivery of McKinsey software assets for clients, configuring to client needs using technical skills in data science, data engineering, and/or software implementation, working directly with clients and client service teams

Work with defense and security teams on some of their toughest issues, in a fast-paced, non-hierarchical, and caring environment

Be part of the global data engineering community and work in cross-functional Agile project teams alongside data scientists, machine learning engineers, other data engineers, project managers, and industry experts to innovate alongside clients and CSTs to develop and deploy new or existing assets in the client environment

Leverage engineering frameworks and best practices to help lead design and development of core data frameworks to drive meaningful mission outcomes for clients by enabling software capabilities used by data engineers, data scientists, consulting teams and external clients

Help shift the model toward asset-based consulting and build a foundation for the expansion of the investment into the entrepreneurial culture

Required

Bachelor or master's degree

10+ years of work experience in Software implementation or project management, preferably technical

Deep understanding of analytics/technology/data as relevant to Defense & Security

Highly credible knowledge of the Defense & Security industry

Leader in drawing insights and leading problem solving with peers

Strong project management and team leadership capabilities

Excellent problem-solving skills: ability to quickly process complex information

Evolving entrepreneurial capabilities

Conversant in related technical languages and tools, e.g., JavaScript, HTML/CSS, SQL, Python, Java, Tableau

Consistently deliver exceptional results; working both independently and as part of a team; comfortable with ambiguity

Outstanding communicator; able to translate complex technical topics to stakeholders and client peers
