Office Specialist - Temporary
NEOGOV is a company that supports the County of Mason, which is looking for a temporary Office Specialist. Responsibilities
Communicate and assist the public by responding to questions, directing inquiries, providing information, or processing documents by correspondence, telephone, or in person
Maintain manual and electronic data files and systems for tracking processes and maintaining records
Schedule meetings and/or hearings for self or others to meet with public to review documentation, determine eligibility, issue permits, vouchers and authorizations
Receive and receipt fees, process applications, maintain and disburse forms and public information
Provide excellent customer service
Research records and data for information and historical documentation
Prepare reports, minutes and correspondence from data provided or researched
Receipt, deposit, and account for cash received from a variety of funds
Maintain records for substantiation of disbursement of funds, grants, allocations
Maintain the schedule of conference and meeting rooms
Prepare agendas, notify participants, and coordinate internal and external meetings
Evening meetings may be occasionally required
Assist other administrative staff with responsibilities
Participate and/or assist in special projects, and perform associated administrative duties as assigned
Perform incidental general office tasks such as monitoring/ordering standard office supplies; collating and assembling documents; accepting and delivering inter-department correspondence, photocopying/faxing correspondence and reports
May be assigned as a division/department Public Records Officer
Regular, reliable, and punctual attendance
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma / GED
Two (2) years of office experience working with the public providing information and/or assistance
Pass Mason County MS Suite, typing and/or 10-key proficiency test
