Responsibilities

Providing day-to-day advice to Amazon’s Dangerous Goods and Storage and Compliance teams
Monitoring and advising compliance, business, and legal teams on upcoming regulatory changes and maintenance of existing compliance processes
Providing mission critical legal advice on the design of safety mechanisms and technology tools developed and used by the Dangerous Goods and Storage and Compliance teams
Advising on internal processes and practices to support dangerous goods governance requirements and expectations; and
Serving as lead counsel in the response and resolution of applicable regulatory inquiries

Required

5+ years of legal experience
Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
Experience in regulatory compliance management with government agencies

Preferred

Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work
Experience with global and technical regulations attaching to the supply chain, logistics, manufacture, sale, distribution, use, or disposition of consumer products
