Responsibilities
Assist with planning, analysis, design, plan preparation, specification development, quantity and cost estimating, and report writing
Coordinate project work with geotechnical, highway, and hydraulic engineers
Assist on transportation/railroad projects to ensure that goals or objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters
Be active in technical societies and attend meetings or events outside of normal working hours
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
Demonstrated experience on various types of bridges, to include analysis, design and plan development of new and rehabilitation projects
Previously demonstrated professional years of project experience with NYCDOT, NYSDOT, MTA, PANYNJ and other New York transportation agencies
Professional Engineer (PE) in New York
Demonstrated proficient knowledge of SAP2000, CSiBridge, Midas, or other structural design/analyses programs desirable
Must have a solid understanding of and practical experience applying the AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications to transportation structures
