Responsibilities
Perform delegated functions as a member of a patient care team by providing administrative support and communicating with members of the health care team, patients and families
Contributes to the successful operation of the work area and functions in accordance with all existing regulatory and hospital standards, policies and procedures
Responsible for observing cardiac monitors, interpreting telemetry rhythm strips, and reporting any abnormalities or critical changes to the clinical team
Qualification
Required
Demonstrated ability to read English, and perform basic Mathematics
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, write, and speak English
Basic Computer Skills Required
Ability to perform physical effort as specified by position physical requirements and occupational exposure form
Preferred
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Hospital based or physician office work experience
Demonstrated competencies in a related health field at Hartford Hospital
CPR validation may be required within three months of hire depending upon work area specific requirement
