Responsibilities

Lead, plan, and develop verification plans for electrical components, sub-systems, & systems
Execute test or analysis plans for product verification and validation
Support Electrical PV&V activities for construction machine platforms, ensuring electrical activities and plans are formulated and followed
Support requirements development and design for electronic components and electrical systems
Provide problem solving of electrical issues on new product development and current production
Work with electronic suppliers to ensure component interface and quality meet John Deere needs
Participate in print reviews and design reviews for new products

Required

Excellent problem solver, who is a strong communicator and works well in a team environment
Demonstrated problem solving skills

Organization and workload planning skills
Must be registered as a full-time student at a local accredited university
Graduation date of December 2026 or later
Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
Available to work 16-20 hours/weekly during the academic year
Must be able to work on site during scheduled workdays
Available to work up to 40 hours/weekly during the summer semester
Pursuing a B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent such as Engineering Physics, Aerospace Engineering, or Computer Engineering

Preferred

Knowledge of automotive electrical components and systems such as: batteries, starters, alternators, relays, solenoids, sensors, lights, controllers, and connectors
Previous Electrical Engineering experience performing analysis, testing and/or design work
Knowledge of electrical wire harness circuits and routing
Experience working with suppliers in the application of electrical components
