Responsibilities
Preliminary Ecological Appraisals
Protected species survey and assessment
Reptile and/or newt survey and translocation
Biodiversity Net Gain Calculations
Contribute to & prepare technical reports and project documentation
Qualification
Required
At least Qualifying membership of CIEEM or working towards an application
A degree in a relevant discipline
Good interpersonal skills to enable collaborative working
Good writing skills with attention to detail
A driving licence and access to a car to travel to project sites
A basic understanding of the planning system
Preferred
Good knowledge of current and developing wildlife policy and legislation
Knowledge of GIS, CAD and/or Adobe software programmes
Experience of writing technical reports, including Preliminary Ecological Appraisal
Relevant professional ecological experience (min 6 months)
Experience and ability to carry out Phase 1 habitat surveys/UK Habitat Classification survey with reasonable botanical skills
Experience and ability to survey the more common protected species, such as reptiles and badgers
