Responsibilities

Perform routine and preventive maintenance on chocolate production equipment, including cleaning, lubrication, inspection, and setup
Assist in troubleshooting and repairing basic mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues related to production machinery
Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify and resolve potential issues
Support the installation, setup, and adjustment of production and end-of-line equipment (e.g., metal detectors, printers, flow wrappers)
Create, update, and close work orders using the computerized maintenance management system (Maximo)
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, GMPs, and all food safety and regulatory requirements
Support the Maintenance Supervisor and team while participating in training and development to advance technical skills

Qualification

Required

Technical or mechanical background, with basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and results-oriented mindset, able to work under pressure
Good communication skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team; basic computer skills required
Physical ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs., climbing, standing for extended periods, and flexibility to work evenings or weekends if needed

Preferred

Experience in the manufacturing industry, preferably in food manufacturing
Electrical certification and PLC knowledge are a plus
