Responsibilities
Lead a team of full-stack software engineers on a data-centric product
Operate as a player-coach, spending time both leading the team and directly contributing to the product
Plan, develop, implement, and iterate on new features and new products
Provide mentorship and engineering perspective across the organization
Collaborate with product teams to create and review release targets and sprint plans
Take part in code reviews and testing
Lead greenfield development
Ensure delivery of high quality software
Qualification
Required
Comfort working up and down the stack with particular data engineering experience and interest
>8 years of professional software engineering experience
Great work ethic, agility, and experience as a top performer
Excellent communication skills in verbal and written English
Experience leading full-stack engineering teams and fully owning features
Willingness to occasionally work in New York City
Advanced proficiency in some of: Python (especially Django or DRF), JavaScript, React (preferred), modern data stacks (duckdb, snowflake, elt tools, etc)
Preferred
Experience at a startup, financial technology firm or lending software company
