Electronics Engineer
MAKS Enterprises is a globally renowned provider in the rebuilding of Electronic Automotive Modules, specializing in the restoration of critical components in vehicles. They are seeking a motivated Electronics Engineer or Mechatronic Engineer who will assist in the design, testing, and validation of electronic circuits and repair solutions for automotive control modules.
Responsibilities
Assist in the design, testing, and validation of electronic circuits and repair solutions for automotive control modules (TIPMs, ECMs, TCMs, etc.)
Reverse engineering of automotive electronic controls modules and systems
Support hardware prototyping, including breadboarding, PCB bring-up, and rapid iteration
Utilize 3D printing and mechanical prototyping to design and fabricate test fixtures, enclosures, and tooling
Perform hands-on troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of electronic failures at the component and board level
Assist with documentation of schematics, test procedures, engineering notes, and revision changes
Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to improve repair reliability and efficiency
Support testing and validation efforts using lab equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and logic analyzers
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aligned with ISO 9001 processes and quality standards
Maintain a strong focus on accuracy, repeatability, and accountability in all engineering work
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a closely related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)
1-5 years of experience
Foundational understanding of analog and digital electronics
Experience with hardware prototyping, whether academic, professional, or personal projects
Familiarity with 3D printing, CAD modeling, or rapid prototyping tools
Comfort working hands-on with physical hardware in a lab or production-adjacent environment
Strong curiosity, drive, willingness to learn, and ability to take feedback and iterate quickly
Ability to work full-time on-site in Chatsworth, CA
Preferred
Exposure to automotive electronics or embedded systems
Experience reading and interpreting schematics and datasheets
Basic PCB design or layout experience
Familiarity with test automation, fixtures, or manufacturing/process engineering
Internship, co-op, or project experience involving real-world hardware systems
