Responsibilities
Design, implement, and improve manufacturing processes for fiber optic cable production
Analyze process data to identify inefficiencies and implement corrective actions
Develop and maintain process documentation, including SOPs and work instructions
Collaborate with Quality Assurance to resolve defects and maintain product integrity
Work with vendors on equipment upgrades and maintenance strategies
Collaborate with R&D on process requirements for new fiber optic cable designs
Lead Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to reduce waste and improve throughput
Support cost reduction projects without compromising quality
Provide technical support to production teams for process-related issues
Conduct root cause analysis and implement permanent solutions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or similar Engineering related field
1-year practical experience in manufacturing environment encompassing manufacturing engineering, statistical planning techniques, business systems, project management, and or quality control
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Familiarity in statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis tools
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
Previous experience in telecommunications or fiber optic cable manufacturing
Hands-on experience with extrusion processes, including polymer handling and die design
