Program Administrator – Classification & Compensation
Valley Water is seeking an experienced and resourceful professional to serve as its Program Administrator – Classification & Compensation. This pivotal role is responsible for all aspects of the District’s job classification and compensation administration programs, providing critical support and guidance while ensuring accuracy and equity in classifications.
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary subject matter expert for job classification and compensation administration programs
Provide critical analytical support and expert guidance to executives, HR leaders, and bargaining partners
Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and equity of all classifications
Lead major annual efforts such as the Unified Salary Report
Navigate complex labor, organizational, and political dynamics with diplomacy, judgment, and professionalism
Qualification
Required
Experience in job classification and compensation administration programs
Strong compensation expertise
Experience working in public-sector or highly unionized environments
Ability to provide critical analytical support and expert guidance to executives, HR leaders, and bargaining partners
Ensures accuracy, consistency, and equity of all classifications
Ability to lead major annual efforts such as the Unified Salary Report
Ability to navigate complex labor, organizational, and political dynamics with diplomacy, judgment, and professionalism
