Premium Audit Intern

They are seeking a Premium Audit Summer 2026 Intern to gain experience in the insurance and risk management fields, where the intern will learn the Premium Audit process and assist with various related tasks.

Responsibilities

Learn the ins and outs of the Premium Audit process
Learn how to apply Basic Manual rules and review key documentation to determine final exposure for a risk
Correspond with agents and policyholders to obtain information needed to complete a Premium Audit
Conduct thorough analysis of policyholders’ business records to determine premium base exposures per terms of policy contract, manual rules, and procedures
Track due dates of audits and ensure completion in a timely manner
Comply with NCCI regulations and company guidelines, and maintain working knowledge of relevant insurance manuals and related material
Consult with policyholders and agents to ensure understanding of the premium audit process and how exposures are classified and rated for premium basis
Maintain favorable relationships with agents and policyholders through superior customer service
Communicate with other internal business units to identify and monitor fraud and problem accounts
Assist management with special projects and administrative tasks as assigned

Required

Undergraduate student in the insurance and risk management fields or general business experience
Ability to learn the ins and outs of the Premium Audit process
