David Joseph & Company is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer / Department Assistant Manager to prepare and oversee structural calculations and designs for various building projects. The role includes managing departmental personnel, supporting project management efforts, and ensuring quality control of structural deliverables.

Government Relations

Responsibilities

Prepare and oversee structural calculations and designs for a variety of building projects, including gravity and lateral force-resisting systems

Develop structural detailing and coordinate structural construction documents across disciplines

Conduct site visits, observe existing conditions and construction progress, and prepare engineering letters or recommendations as required

Review shop drawings, perform back-checks of structural documents, and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs)

Assist with managing departmental personnel, including mentoring junior engineers and supporting workload distribution

Support project management efforts, including coordination, scheduling, and quality control of structural deliverables

Work closely with leadership to support department growth, standards, and best practices
