Start in 2026 SpringTesla is a leading electric vehicle manufacturer, and they are seeking a Red Team Engineer Intern for the summer of 2026. In this role, you will conduct penetration tests and security assessments to enhance the security of Tesla's connected car systems, while collaborating with engineers to develop secure services.

Responsibilities
Breaking everything you touch and helping us fix it
Conducting penetration tests against Tesla networks and services
Performing security assessments on third-party services and software
Collaborating with Engineers to develop secure services
Auditing source code for security vulnerabilities
Develop/implement automated systems to help spot known security exposures
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related field of study with a graduation date between 2026-2027
Experience with secure architecture design
Participation in Capture the Flag (CTF) events is ideal
Security experience in one or more of: C, C++, PHP, Go, x86, ARM, CAN, cryptography, reverse engineering, wireless networks
Strong understanding of common web vulnerabilities with SQLi, XSS, CSRF and exploit development
Strong penetration testing experience
Experience auditing code and features
