Responsibilities
Assist in the direction of the accounting functions of the organization
Support most aspects of accounting management
Assist in the preparation of internal financial statements ensuring timeliness and accuracy
Prevent inaccuracies in financial statements by setting up internal control systems and adopting proper policies for financial reporting
Develop proper operational, data documentation and troubleshooting procedures
Review the company’s accounting information to identify and resolve inaccuracies or imbalances
Manage journal entries and reconcile accounts for the monthly or annual closing
Present various accounting reports to the top management and make suitable observations and recommendations
Participate in preparation for the annual audit
Provide accounting support throughout the company
Lead fixed asset and lease functions
Perform various accounting functions for Webster Healthcare Segment
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
6-8 years accounting experience in public accounting of financial services industry
Exposure to fixed asset and/or lease accounting
Advanced Microsoft excel skills and proficiency in financial analysis
Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills
Knowledge of internal controls, risk and SOX compliance
Preferred
