Responsibilities
Run complex accounts independently from strategy through execution
Navigate the financial media landscape like the back of your hand
Translate complex financial topics into stories that land
Lead client relationships with fintech companies/RIAs/asset managers/wealth management firms and other B2B companies
Manage high-profile executive LinkedIn strategies and posting schedules end-to-end
Mentor and support junior team members
Manage budgets, hours and timelines
Pitch in on new business (RFP responses and presentations)
Maintain an extremely detail-oriented approach
Act in a fast-paced environment
Lead and support day-to-day account management for fintech, professional services/B2B and financial services clients
Develop and execute earned media strategies that drive results
Demonstrate a strong sense of clients’ evolving needs and identify – and provide solutions for potential hurdles that may negatively impact clients
Own executive social media strategy: draft posts, manage posting schedules, optimize LinkedIn profiles for C-suite clients
Manage and support detailed awards and speaking programs for clients
Manage and support reporting and all meeting prep
Manage and mentor account teams (including remote colleagues in Boston)
Help grow accounts organically through strategic thinking and exceptional execution
Implement AI‑driven strategies into client media plans
Participate in Water & Wall's marketing on a small scale via ad-hoc blogs, social posting, etc
Qualification
Required
4-6 years of agency experience in financial services and/or B2B-focused PR
Ability to run complex accounts independently from strategy through execution
Expertise in navigating the financial media landscape
Skill in translating complex financial topics into stories
Experience leading client relationships with fintech companies/RIAs/asset managers/wealth management firms and other B2B companies
Ability to manage high-profile executive LinkedIn strategies and posting schedules end-to-end
Experience mentoring and supporting junior team members
Ability to manage budgets, hours, and timelines
Experience pitching in on new business (RFP responses and presentations)
Detail-oriented approach
Ability to act in a fast-paced environment
Wealth and asset management experience
Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, PR, business or adjacent field
Strong understanding of media and evolving digital marketing landscape
Location in NYC, New Jersey, or CT with in-office presence in NYC 2x per week
