Responsibilities
Provide essential role at the entrance to surgical and procedural care delivery locations
Serve as a primary point of contact for all nonclinical updates and logistics for patient and caregiver movement during the surgical and procedural day of surgery encounter
Partner with surgical and procedural leadership, providers, and service line scheduling coordinators to provide clinical continuity of care
Create new registrations for patients, update patient information, arrive patients for their visits, and provide excellent customer experience for patients/caregivers
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent experience
Minimum two (2) years of customer service or of administrative support experience
Knowledge of medical terminology
Experience using computers with a high degree of accuracy
Must complete Epic Training and obtain a passing score on EUPA test within two (2) weeks of start date
Preferred
Associate's Degree or at least two (2) years of college coursework in health care or related field
Prior data entry/clerical office experience or training
Significant experience working with the general public in a healthcare environment
Auditing experience
Familiarity with multiple cultures/bilingual skills
Experience in Epic Cadence and/or EPIC Optime or other medical scheduling software
