Merchants Distributors, LLC is seeking a Private Brands Intern to support marketing projects related to brand relaunches and competitive research. This internship offers hands-on experience in market analysis, project management, and marketing strategy, helping drive the success of private brand initiatives.

Responsibilities

Monitor and assist with marketing projects regarding brand relaunches
Conduct market research to compare competitor pricing and identify trends in product assortment
Review competitive in-store displays and evaluate consumer behavior
Ensure team adherence to marketing timelines and monitor deadlines for maximum program adoption
Contact customers for market research regarding successes and weaknesses of marketing programs
Design and prepare month-end reporting of customer sales growth and maintain records of customers participating in the program

Qualification

Microsoft ExcelAnalytical skillsPowerPointProject managementCommunication skills

Required

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and basic data analysis tools
Ability to create and maintain presentations in PowerPoint for management updates
Strong analytical skills with the capability to interpret data, identify patterns, and provide actionable insights
Detail-oriented approach to problem-solving and decision-making
Strong communication and project management skills

Preferred

Preferred fields of study: Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Data Analytics, Supply Chain Management, or related fields
Advanced functions in Power BI and Excel
Understanding of Private Brand vs National Brand strategies
Application of the 4 P's of Marketing: product, placement, pricing, promotion
Marketing analysis and reporting on brand performance and competitive positioning
Project management and cross-functional collaboration
