Shaver's Creek - Conservation Interpreter and Visitor Services
Penn State University is seeking a part-time Conservation Interpreter to provide visitor services and education at Shaver’s Creek Environmental Center. The role involves welcoming visitors, conducting guided programs, and engaging with the public while supporting educational operations.

Responsibilities
Provide front-line visitor service and education to Shaver's Creek Environmental Center visitors
Welcoming and providing orientation to the site and visitor opportunities
Support, develop, and provide guided programs including hikes, aviary and herpetarium tours, community science initiatives, and tabling events
Staff the bookstore and engage with visitors in person and on the phone
Qualification
Required
Provide front-line visitor service and education to Shaver's Creek Environmental Center visitors
Welcome and provide orientation to the site and visitor opportunities
Support, develop, and provide guided programs including hikes, aviary and herpetarium tours, community science initiatives, and tabling events
Staff the bookstore and engage with visitors in person and on the phone
Ability to work with full and part-time staff to support visitor services and educational operations
Long periods of standing, walking, talking, and occasionally lifting up to 35lbs
Work up to 24 hours a week, including Saturdays and Sundays

Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check
Valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check
